Ryoma Corporation was founded in early 2024 by Jonathan Epstein and John Bennett — two leaders who first worked together during Asurion Japan's rapid growth in the late 2000s. Jonathan brings decades of executive experience in Japan's business and financial ecosystem. John brings deep engineering leadership from Amazon Web Services, where he built and scaled systems serving hundreds of millions of customers.
Together, they assembled a team of former Amazon and Asurion engineers to pursue a shared mission: transforming how Japan's financial services industry connects with the people it serves.
